Assist laboratory teammates with other delegated tasks as assigned. This position reports to the Manager\/Supervisor, Laboratory (Lab).<\/p>\n<h4 aria-hidden=\"true\"><a href=\"https:\/\/joblagii.com\/company\/Davita\">Clinical Support I (Lab)<\/a><\/h4>\n<p><strong>Unloads and unpacks specimens:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cuts boxes and routes specimens by type to various staging areas<\/li>\n<li>Records shipments<\/li>\n<li>Records temperature of the packages according to the policies including safety and infection control<\/li>\n<li>Waste Management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p aria-hidden=\"true\">\n<p>Sorting and loading automated line according to department needs and frequencies. Removes specimens rejected by Automation line and relabels tubes for processing. Accessions samples that require manual receiving and delivers them to the appropriate department.<\/p>\n<h4 aria-hidden=\"true\"><a href=\"https:\/\/joblagii.com\/company\/Davita\">Clinical Support I (Lab)<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>Unloads exception samples from Automation system<\/p>\n<p aria-hidden=\"true\">\n<p>Grooms clotted samples<\/p>\n<p aria-hidden=\"true\">\n<p>Transports racked and bulk samples to non-automated lab areas\/refrigerators<\/p>\n<p aria-hidden=\"true\">\n<p>Performs and records department maintenance for functions and equipment used daily<\/p>\n<p aria-hidden=\"true\">\n<p>Prepares offline samples for testing (centrifuge and uncap)<\/p>\n<p aria-hidden=\"true\">\n<p>Assists the technical staff in specimen processing and preparation in the clinical laboratory<\/p>\n<p>Documents work activities and pertinent information (using internal and external comments) in the LIS or paper logs to ensure regulatory compliance requirements are met and that audit trails are established<\/p>\n<p aria-hidden=\"true\">\n<p>Performs duties and responsibilities as needed or directed<\/p>\n<h4 aria-hidden=\"true\"><a href=\"https:\/\/joblagii.com\/company\/Davita\">Clinical Support I (Lab)<\/a><\/h4>\n<p><b>LANGUAGE SKILLS<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Fluent in the written and verbal skills necessary to successfully perform the essential functions, duties, and responsibilities of the position.<\/p>\n<p aria-hidden=\"true\">\n<p><b>WORK ENVIRONMEN<\/b><b>T<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Level I<\/b>\u00a0\u2013 Job required tasks routinely involve a potential for mucous membrane or skin contact with blood, body fluids, tissues or potential spills or splashes.
