This will encompass formulation, preparation and application of coatings, and testing these coatings against multiple regional specifications and customer requirements.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h5><a href=\"https:\/\/joblagii.com\/company\/Ppg-Industries\">Customer Support Chemist<\/a><\/h5>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"component-styling-wrapper-0\" data-bind=\"class: uniqueWrapperClass\">\n<div class=\"job-details__section\" data-bind=\" class: customizationParams.commonParams.cssClass, attr: { id: customizationParams.commonParams.cssId }, customStyles: customizationParams.commonParams, \">\n<div class=\"job-details__description-content basic-formatter\" data-bind=\"html: pageData().job.description\">\n<div>\n<p>PPG offers excellent Medical, Dental, &amp; Vision Benefits; matching 401k + retirement savings; and Paid Vacation, Holiday pay.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p aria-hidden=\"true\">\n<p><b>Key Responsibilities<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct development work such as the formulation, application and testing of pretreatment and electrocoat products.<\/li>\n<li>Work with manager in setting smart project goals, milestones against bold timelines.<\/li>\n<li>Work with the commercial and the field organization informally and formally for ongoing project work.<\/li>\n<li>Apply root cause analysis and BPI tools to lead resolution of manufacturing and field issues.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain results through written and verbal summaries, coatings reports, test drill presentations, and project updates.<\/li>\n<li>Work with regional labs; and together with R&amp;D and other departments on the development of new product platforms globally.<\/li>\n<li>Simulate customer line conditions to troubleshoot field issues and to increase the speed and success rate of product launches.<\/li>\n<li>Help with FLC, Secure Launch process (formula filing, conversion planning, PDCA).<\/li>\n<li>Work safely, following all lab procedures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><a href=\"https:\/\/joblagii.com\/company\/Ppg-Industries\">Customer Support Chemist<\/a><\/h5>\n<p><b>Qualifications<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s Science Degree in Chemistry or related Engineering or Science field with 2+ years of related experience.<\/li>\n<li>Work experience in coatings, or substrate protection systems is preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with experimental design (DOE) and problem solving.<\/li>\n<li>Travel will be &lt;15%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>PPG pay ranges and benefits can vary by location which allows us to compensate employees competitively in different geographic markets.
