Our greatest asset has been, and will continue to be, our people.<\/p>\n<p>We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of\u00a0<strong>Production Technician<\/strong>\u00a0in our US Onshore Resources &amp; Carbon Management \u2013 Enhanced Oil Recovery (ORCM EOR), Business Unit based in\u00a0<strong>North Cowden, Texas.<\/p>\n<p><\/strong>This position is responsible for oil and gas well operations, well testing, operating and maintaining field equipment and facilities, surveillance of general field operations and maintenance of various databases regarding production and operations but not limited to. Non-scheduled call-outs outside normal business hours can be expected.Types of well include flowing, beam pump (with electronic pump-off controller), plunger lift, gas lift.Types of facilities include production tank batteries, flowlines, LACT (lease automatic custody transfer) facilities, natural gas compression, cathodic protection and metering devices (electronic gas measurement and others).Job is to be performed employing safe work practices while utilizing acceptable environmental procedures to maximize earnings while minimizing costs on assigned oil and gas producing properties.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/joblagii.com\/company\/Occidental-Petroleum\">Production Technician<\/a><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><\/p>\n<p><strong>Roles And Responsibilities<\/p>\n<p><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Adhere to an enforce all applicable company, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations<\/li>\n<li>Prepare, maintain, and submit daily reports and records of daily gas and\/or liquid volume, well pressure, and volume of chemicals used<\/li>\n<li>Implement production and operations tests<\/li>\n<li>Collect and review purchaser\u2019s gauges and tests<\/li>\n<li>Ensure coordination of personnel and systems to optimize transportation, minimize downtime, optimize production, and decrease environmental and safety risks<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate and perform maintenance duties required to maintain operations and regulatory compliance<\/li>\n<li>Operate and maintain various equipment associated with producing a well, including but not limited to wellheads, pumping units, pump-off controllers, separators, burners, heater treaters, chemical pumps, meters, automation equipment, rotary screw compressors, artificial lift equipment, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Manage liquid production information<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate daily production information estimates to identify production shortfalls that may be related to equipment problems, leaks or spills, theft or changing well conditions<\/li>\n<li>Enter data into local databases and\/or the corporate production database<\/li>\n<li>Use plunger control automation to effectively optimize plunger operation and maximize production of gas\/condensate\/oil<\/li>\n<li>Work with Well Site Management Team<\/li>\n<li>Witness the sale of oil and condensate and verify accurate measurement in the transfer of product to truck or pipeline<\/li>\n<li>Check equipment to ensure operating efficiency<\/li>\n<li>Examine well casings, wellheads, pressure vessels, liquid storage facilities, and other production equipment for integrity<\/li>\n<li>Perform repairs on pipe fittings, minor line leaks, dump valves, float and pressure controllers, and automation equipment as necessary<\/li>\n<li>Manage operating and maintenance expenditures<\/li>\n<li>Participate in budget and production forecasts<\/li>\n<li>Supervise contract personnel and well service companies during wireline operations, water\/condensate transfers, chemical treatments, and other activity in assigned area<\/li>\n<li>Act as a liaison between field personnel and functional support groups providing operational input to projects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/joblagii.com\/company\/Occidental-Petroleum\">Production Technician<\/a><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><strong>Education:\u00a0<\/strong>High School Diploma or equivalent is required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Professional\/Technical Qualifications\/Licenses\/Certifications\u00a0<\/strong>: Valid Driver\u2019s License<\/p>\n<p><strong>Skills &amp; Competencies<\/p>\n<p><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical principles<\/li>\n<li>Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations is required<\/li>\n<li>Proficient in the use of personal computer utilizing a MS Windows environment<\/li>\n<li>General mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills<\/li>\n<li>Good communication and interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as by self without direct supervision<\/li>\n<li>Technical skills related to math and analytical processes<\/li>\n<li>Strong initiative and self-starter<\/li>\n<li>Multi-task orientation with skills related to work prioritization<\/li>\n<li>Automation experience and hands on troubleshooting experience is preferred<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><strong>Relocation:\u00a0<\/strong>This position is not eligible for relocation.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/joblagii.com\/company\/Occidental-Petroleum\">Production Technician<\/a><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><\/p>\n<p><strong>Recruitment Fraud<\/p>\n<p><\/strong>It has come to our attention various individuals and\/or organizations are contacting people falsely pretending to recruit on behalf of Oxy.
