Influences and drives financial acumen across the organization.\u00a0 Effectively communicates with senior leaders of the business who may not be financial experts.<\/p>\n<p>Develops and formulates recommendations based on analyses and operational knowledge.\u00a0Identifies trends that result in resource allocation recommendations.\u00a0 Key work activities also include formulating and consolidating budgets, and developing consolidated financial information.\u00a0Self directed in their work and provides strong context for decision making.<\/p>\n<h6><a href=\"https:\/\/joblagii.com\/company\/duke-energy\">Senior Financial Analyst (Nuclear Business Support)<\/a><\/h6>\n<p>This is the fourth level of the financial analysis classification hierarchy.\u00a0 Employees at this level work in self directed manner receiving very minimal guidance.\u00a0 Incumbents are required to have in-depth knowledge and experience and work to solve complex problems. Incumbents also act as a resource for less experience employees.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h6><b>Responsibilities <\/b><\/h6>\n<p>Business Consulting<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide financial, accounting, and business management analytical support to various levels of management and customers.<\/li>\n<li>Effectively communicate financial information to all levels of leadership.<\/li>\n<li>Build financial acumen across customer group supported.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6><a href=\"https:\/\/joblagii.com\/company\/duke-energy\">Senior Financial Analyst (Nuclear Business Support)<\/a><\/h6>\n<p>Financial Budgeting, Analysis and Projections<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and consolidate even the most complex departmental budgets.<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate business unit O&amp;M and capital variances for key drivers.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare financial presentations for management review, cost\/status reporting, and decision making.<\/li>\n<li>Partner with business executives and finance team to develop year end\/quarterly\/monthly business unit financial projections.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Peer Support<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support lower level analysts on teams with developing their skill sets.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6><a href=\"https:\/\/joblagii.com\/company\/duke-energy\">Senior Financial Analyst (Nuclear Business Support)<\/a><\/h6>\n<p>Special Projects<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Participate as a lead or team member for various special projects or financial studies.<\/li>\n<li>Projects can be the most complex, and may involve research outside of the analyst&#8217;s area of support.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Compliance Assurance<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Establish proper business and financial processes to ensure adherence to internal controls.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h6>Accounting review<\/h6>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare and review accounting journal entries including accruals and corrections.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6><a href=\"https:\/\/joblagii.com\/company\/duke-energy\">Senior Financial Analyst (Nuclear Business Support)<\/a><\/h6>\n<h6><b>Required\/Basic Qualifications<\/b><\/h6>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree with major in Accounting\/Finance or related discipline<\/li>\n<li>Three (3) plus years of increasingly diverse or complex experience in related field in addition to degree<\/li>\n<li>Possesses and applies fundamental accounting and finance concepts, practices, and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Experience with financial applications (i.e., PeopleSoft, HFM, PowerPlan, etc.) and query tool (WebI)<\/li>\n<li>Experience using Microsoft products such as Excel, Word and Power Point<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6><a href=\"https:\/\/joblagii.com\/company\/duke-energy\">Senior Financial Analyst (Nuclear Business Support)<\/a><\/h6>\n<h6><b>Desired Qualifications<\/b><\/h6>\n<ul>\n<li>CPA or working toward CPA<\/li>\n<li>Advanced degree, preferably in Accounting<\/li>\n<li>Six (6) years or more of professional work related experience<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience in utility accounting environment<\/li>\n<li>Effective written and oral communication and collaboration skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">Senior Financial Analyst (Nuclear Business Support)<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/joblagii.com\/company\/duke-energy\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1841\" src=\"https:\/\/exam4sure.com\/jobs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/appy-300x116.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"116\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>More than a career &#8211; a chance to make a difference in people&#8217;s lives.
