Senior Underwriter, Business Package<\/a><\/h4>\nHow you will create an impact<\/b><\/p>\n
Become a part of a tight knit team of SME underwriters, providing business package solutions for both new and renewal business to our broking network for their SME clients.\u00a0 You will also be accountable for developing and maintaining broker relationships, which includes a strategic engagement and visitation plan \u2013 ensuring visibility of AIG in the market. As a senior Underwriter you will also mentor and train junior members of the team and assist with strategic planning.<\/p>\n
Senior Underwriter, Business Package<\/a><\/h4>\nKey accountabilities will include but not limited to:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n- Under general direction has responsibility for the sales and underwriting of multi-line Commercial Lines business within the Business Package Profit Centre.<\/li>\n
- Establishes maintains and grows relationships with targeted brokers and agents.<\/li>\n
- Actively engages in the sales process, driving GWP growth on assigned target accounts.<\/li>\n
- Engaging with broker management to engage a strategy for each broking business allocated to you.<\/li>\n
- Identification, qualification, development and marketing of homogenous high-volume mono or multi line product and service opportunities.<\/li>\n
- Quote and underwrite new and renewal opportunities.<\/li>\n
- Manage referrals from other members of the team<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Senior Underwriter, Business Package<\/a><\/h4>\nWhat you\u2019ll need to succeed<\/b><\/p>\n\n- Extensive Knowledge of Commercial property and casualty underwriting for Business Package<\/li>\n
- Understands key business drivers in the SME segment<\/li>\n
- Client-orientated with the ability to build and maintain successful relationships<\/li>\n
- Other relevant experience (i.e. in the insurance industry as an insurance broker, claims handler, reinsurance underwriter, risk manager or equivalent)<\/li>\n
- At least 3 years \u00a0experience within a commercial insurance\/finance\/legal environment, including exposure to clients and\/or intermediaries<\/li>\n
- Awareness of developments and trends in the commercial sector having insurance implications<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
