Solutions Architect- Replenishment & Inventory
Partner with development, product management, architecture, information security and infrastructure teams to deliver software and technology products that meet requirements and produce desired business outcomes. Adhere to established architectural principles and associated processes for adopting new technology or integrating with a new third-party solution. Advise product management on technology specific aspects of product roadmap development and recommend adoption of emerging technology appropriate to stated goals. Solutions Architect- Replenishment & Inventory
RESPONSIBILITIES
– Develop the overall software & deployment architecture of application solutions across teams within a single domain
– Partner with engineering staff to deliver solutions
– Partner with 3rd party vendors to integrate capabilities as required by the solution under development
– Partner with Senior Solutions Architects during large, cross-functional project discovery to develop high level architecture and design
– Lead architectural design reviews as required
– Draft, review and maintain architectural diagrams, interface specifications and other architectural artifacts as required by the delivery teams to clearly communicate the needs of the solution under development
– Interact with/present to engineering and product management with the presence to influence and drive the decision makers to a solution
– Identify technology overlaps and gaps and inform Senior Solutions Architecture staff
– Assess emerging technologies and make appropriate recommendations based on business needs
– Mentor engineering team members in software development and architectural principles, patterns, processes and practices

– Promote the capture and reuse of intellectual capital, including code objects and components
– Contribute to Solutions Architecture Community of Practice

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum
Solutions Architect- Replenishment & Inventory
- Understanding of cloud-native characteristics; containers, Microservices, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, auto scaling, etc
- Proficient in Java and/or Golang and/or python. Ideally experience with multiple languages
- Experience with modern dev ops and container technologies; Gradle, Maven, GitHub, GitHub Actions, docker, Kubernetes, Spinnaker, Harness, Rancher
- Experience developing cloud solutions; ideally Azure/GCP/AWS.
- Experience with both SQL (MSSql, Oracle), NoSql (Cassandra, Yugabyte, MongoDb, CouchBase, ElasticSearch, SOLR) and possibly graph databases and the understanding of the pros and cons of each.
- Experience integrating and supporting COTS/SaaS solutions into a large enterprise; experience practicing good integration patterns like API-First, synchronous vs. asynchronous, adapters, etc.
- Experience with or knowledge of various architecture/design patterns including: Microservices pattern, PubSub patterns, layered architecture, event driven architecture, domain driven design, etc – Bachelor’s Degree computer science or in another related technical field
- High School Diploma or GED
- Any experience integrating open source technologies in high volume production environments and strong knowledge of agile methodology

- 5+ years of experience taking a lead role in the successful delivery of complex software and automation systems
- 10+ years of experience in software or infrastructure development domain with emphasis on utilizing design patterns and architectural principles to ensure the timely delivery of quality solutions
- Proven knowledge of technology to support omnichannel experiences
- Demonstrated written, oral and presentation/public speaking communication skills; demonstrated interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate/work effectively with diverse groups of people
- Proven delivery of innovative results in previous roles and strong knowledge of industry trends and industry competition
- Demonstrated capability to build, mentor and maintain an inclusive team-based environment
- Proven knowledge of service-oriented architecture/Cloud

Desired
- Master’s Degree computer science, information systems, or related technical field
- Any experience developing React, Swift (native iOS), Kotlin (native Android)
- Any experience developing/designing a scalable microservices architecture in Go, Java & Node.js
- Any experience developing and/or architecting public cloud-hosted backend services with Azure and/or GCP
- 3+ years of experience working on high volume, Internet scale solutions
- 5+ years of experience in designing eCommerce applications
