Full Job Description:
For its 4680 Battery Cell Line in Fremont, California, Tesla is looking for Entry Level Equipment Maintenance Techs. Chosen competitors will be separated of the Tesla START Program. The Tesla START is a rigorous 14-week training program at Diablo Valley College that equips selected applicants with the skills they need to succeed as an Equipment Maintenance Technician at Tesla and beyond. Through in-class theory, hands-on labs, and self-paced learning, students in the program acquire technical expertise and obtain certifications. This position is not exempt. Within 30 days of graduation, successful program graduates will be eligible to accept full-time employment at a Tesla factory.
What you’ll be doing:
- Make production-ready electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
- After receiving initial instruction, perform technician tasks on your own.
- Repair and perform preventative maintenance (PM) on the following industrial production and mechatronics equipment:
Mechanical systems Conveyor Systems Hydraulics Pneumatics PLCs and networks Robotics This is a general job description and may not reflect the complete or exact job description and/or requirements of the position(s) for which you may be considered. - You must bring something that is at least 18 years old. Attend each training session and pass with a grade of at least 80%.
- ability to lift 60 pounds or more
- must pay close attention to all written and verbal instructions (in English).
- Be able to work well in a group setting and prioritize safety over other considerations when pursuing objectives.
- Be able to navigate web browsers and use standard applications like Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) are examples of basic computer skills.
