Assistant IT Manager

The Assistant IT Manager is responsible for cooperating closely with the local IT Manager, providing support on important tasks & projects on a critical manufacturing site. This is a great opportunity to grow your skillset and develop into an IT Manager.
This position is part of the IT Department and will be located in Solna, Stockholm – Sweden At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.
Assistant IT Manager
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Cooperate closely with the local IT Manager, providing support on important tasks & projects on a critical manufacturing site
- Oversee local day-to-day IT operations, ensure reliability and security of systems, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Coordinate/Manage projects between several Business Units – Manufacturing, Finance, Procurement, Infrastructure, Facilities, Information Security.
- Provide business support, including troubleshooting issues and providing appropriate support to the business stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive library of key critical business functions and related processes.
- Facilitate meetings with vendors and cross-functional participants if needed
The essential requirements of the job include:
Assistant IT Manager
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems.
- 3+ years of working with IT Support
- 2+ years of working with IT Infrastructure – Network technologies (Cloud/LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi), Audio & Visual, Servers and Telecom
- A good understanding of application best practices and processes
- Fluent level of Swedish and English, in spoken and written
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Working in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience from working in an international environment
