PBF Energy Inc. (NYSE:PBF) is one of the largest independent refiners in North America, operating through its subsidiaries, oil refineries and related facilities. We are seeking a talented Accounting Specialist to join our team as a pivotal member that would play a key role here at PBF Energy. This role would be located onsite at our Company headquarters in Parsippany, NJ.

The Accounting Specialist is responsible for preparing journal entries, maintains ledgers, prepares and analyzes financial information, assists in monthly close, and performs complex reconciliations.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepares journal entries and assists in ledger maintenance
Prepares and analyzes basic financial reports, assists in monthly close and performs basic account reconciliations
Prepares supporting schedules for monthly and quarterly deliverables
Assists in other accounting projects and research as directed
Responsible for fixed asset project creation, management, and transfer to final asset
Accurately analyze and report financial information
Other duties and projects as assigned by Accounting Manager

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors Degree in accounting
CPA License preferred
3+ years experience
Possess effective communication skills both verbal and written
Working knowledge of accounting theory and principles (GAAP)
Proficient with MS Excel, SAP required
Strong analytical and accounting and math skills and organizational skills
Ability to learn, comprehend and apply new concepts quickly. Meet deadlines and adjust to multiple work demands
